Our Top 5 Best Campervan Sites to Enjoy in Europe< back
Welcome to the latest Stuart Insurances blog, where we bring you the latest news, hints and tips from the worlds of campervanning and camper insurance. We recently brought you our top 5 campervan sites to visit in the UK and today we’re looking a little further afield into Europe.
With travelling restrictions relaxing more and more, it’s once again possible to get out and explore the continent. So, to help you along, here we give you our top 5 campervan sites that Europe has to offer - in our humble opinion!
#1 - D’Olde Kamp, Ansen, Netherlands
First we visit the land of the tulip, with D’Olde Kamp in Ansen in the Netherlands. This woodland site offers private pitches or open-field camping and it’s something you’ll enjoy if you’re an animal lover. Goats, chickens, donkeys and rabbits roam freely, also making it a great site for all the family.
#2 - Camping de la Cascade, Coo, Belgium
Next we head a little further South, over the border into Belgium, as we visit Camping del Cascade. This is a site that appeals to active people, as there’s swimming, fishing, walking and bike-riding all on offer in a part of the world that provides a landscape lifted straight out of a fairytale!
#3 - Zur Mühle, Black Forest, Germany
This time, we’re in Germany’s Black Forest at Zur Muhle campsite, which features 30 pitches in a super-tranquil locale. Overlooked by shady trees and gorgeous landscapes, this is a wonderful place to get some R & R. At just 4 Euros per pitch, it’s an experience that offers great value too!
#4 - Camping Mexico, Bregenz, Austria
Our penultimate site is close by in the neighbouring country of Austria at Camping Mexico in Bregenz. Pitch your tent here and you get the chance to enjoy nearby Lake Constance as you walk, swim and sight-see. There’s plenty of cycle-routes too, so you’ve got lots of opportunity to work up an appetite before your evening meal.
#5 - Camping Camino de Santiago, Burgos, Spain
Last on our list is Camping Camino de Santiago in the warmer climes of Spain. If you’re after more of a Glamping experience with all of your home comforts, this is a great place for you to visit. An on-site restaurant and daily fresh-baked goods give you the energy you need to make the most out of this beautiful location.
