The Best Campsite Experiences for 2019/2020
< back
At Stuart Insurance, we offer comprehensive camper insurance to our customers across Ireland to make their travels a safer and better protected experience. However, today, as the Summer season nears its end and the kids are about to return to school, we’re going to look at the experiences of a camper enthusiast from within our ranks.
After visiting a number of campervan sites in 2019 and 2020 our team member thought these 3 were worthy of mentioning as their best camping experiences to date.
So, without further ado, let’s dig in.
Glen of Aherlow Caravan and Camping Park
First up we have Glen of Aherlow Caravan and Camping Park in the beautiful area of Tipperary, which offers much in the way of stunning scenery. The campsite was wonderfully clean with campsite facilities to be proud of and had a nice little playground and gardens, not to mention the secret door in the stone wall home to a TV room which was the perfect end to the day for some exhausted kids needing to recover from a long cycle in the hills - making it perfect for campers with little ones in tow. There are many amazing walks nearby too and people there spoke of coming there year after year, which really speaks volumes.

Apple Tree Farm Caravan and Camping Park
Staying in County Tipperary, we now look at Apple Tree Farm Caravan and Camping Park which is set in a beautiful Apple Orchard. This was a very low key and chilled out place with lots of indoor space in case it rained. There was lots of room outside too, which allowed our big group that included 3 tents ad a campervan all able to camp together comfortably. Local spots worth a visit was the swiss cottage and the Rock of Cashel. A great time was had by all.

Brandon Hill Caravan and Camping Park
Finally, we look at Brandon Hill Caravan and Camping Park in Kilkenny, which was most notable for its truly amazing scenery. The site was extremely well managed, with Ken often popping by to check everything was in order. The site also offered wonderful Glamping pods that offered a wonderful view to wake up to.
There were also lovely spaced out pitches, so there was no overcrowding and with cycling, as well as kayaking and swimming on the River Barrow available just 2 minutes from the campsite, there was something for everyone.

These three spots were really enjoyed, well run, chilled out, clean and hassle free campsites and no doubt there are many more like them across Ireland that are just waiting to be visited and enjoyed.
Ireland - The Perfect Location for Campers and Glampers
Even from these three reviews, it’s obvious that Ireland is the perfect place for campers and glampers, as there’s just so much natural beauty to enjoy. However, one of the factors that makes it such a stress-free experience is leaving home with the right camper insurance and that’s something we can most certainly help you with at Stuart Insurance.
So, if you’re looking to renew insurance or looking for comprehensive campervan insurance in Ireland, we recommend that you visit us online at www.campervaninsurance.ie today. Our comprehensive camper insurance is designed to provide complete protection wherever the road takes you.
