One way in which we do this is to create blogs that give you a better understanding of the popular pastime that is campervanning!
Here, we look at the story behind the Citroën Jumpy, which also goes by the name of the Citroën Dispatch depending on which country you live in. Launched back in 1994, it’s also been rebadged as the Fiat Scudo and the Peugeot Expert.
Second Generation from 2006
This Jumpy van was already a popular one when the second generation was released in 2006, with a few modifications. The same compact design remained - meaning that camper insurance costs for those converting it was still on the lower side - but it had a new style of bonnet, grille, bumper, brake lights and headlamps.
It may be one of the newer entrants on the campervanning scene compared to the likes of the VW transporter, but the fact that it’s great on fuel consumption and handles like a car would, means that it has been and remains very popular with campervan enthusiasts across Ireland.
